Nestled in a fairly quiet area within walking distance of a castle, this hotel provides a reasonable balance of value and comfort. The spacious room was equipped with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a pleasant wooden decor that added warmth to the space. The included kitchen facilities and dining area were a definite plus for those preferring to prepare meals rather than relying on nearby food options, especially in winter when many restaurants are closed. The outdoor table and chairs offered a lovely spot to relax when the weather permitted, adding an element of leisure to our stay. While the distance to Urquhart Castle is about 3.5 km, the scenic walkway makes the trek quite enjoyable. Do note that castle views from the main road are free, but getting closer requires a paid ticket. This hotel presents a sound choice for budget-conscious travelers wanting to experience the natural beauty of Loch Ness without overspending.
